Karna was a warrior in Mahabharata. He was the ruler of Anga. He was a warrior with extraordinary abilities. He was the greatest king of those times. But the birth of Karna was always a mystery. That he was born as a result of a boon to Kunthi . BIRTH OF KARNA: Kunthi was the daughter of King Kunthibhoja. She on her father's counsel rendered a great service to Rishi Durvasa . Kunthi gratified Rishi Durvasa . So Rishi Durvasa pleased by her service blessed her with a boon that she would get a baby as a blessing from any God she wished. So Kunti out of innocence and curiosity wishes to test the effectiveness of the boon during her maiden-hood. So she tests the boon by wishing a child from The Sun god .
