SCIENCE BEHIND BIRTH OF KARNA

Karna was a warrior in Mahabharata. He was the ruler of Anga. He was a warrior with extraordinary abilities. He was the greatest king of those times. But the birth of Karna was always a mystery. That he was born as a result of a boon to Kunthi

BIRTH OF KARNA:

Kunthi was the daughter of King Kunthibhoja. She on her father's counsel rendered a great service to Rishi Durvasa. Kunthi gratified Rishi Durvasa. So Rishi Durvasa pleased by her service blessed her with a boon that she would get a baby as a blessing from any God she wished. So Kunti out of innocence and curiosity wishes to test the effectiveness of the boon during her maiden-hood. So she tests the boon by wishing a child from The Sun god. As a result of which Sun God appears before Kunthi. Kunthi couldn't bear the brightness of the Sun-god which was extremely blazing. And the Sun-god blessed her with a baby as she wished. But Kunthi from fear of relatives brought forth in secrecy that child and later Kunthi cast the child in the water.

But the most critical concept in this event is that a female gives birth to a baby without the involvement of a male. That is Kunthi gives birth to Karna without the involvement of a male by the blessing of The Sun god. So generally we think this to be impossible. But modern science approves this event by the term parthenogenesis.

PARTHENOGENESIS:

Parthenogenesis is a method of reproduction that does not include the involvement of the male gamete that is the female ovum gets fertilized without the involvement of the male gamete. It is like virgin origin. So this parthenogenesis occurs as a result of environmental changes. The main reason for parthenogenesis is environmental changes like Temperature, Climate, Weather, Seasons, etc.

TYPES OF PARTHENOGENESIS:

This Parthenogenesis is of two types they are:

1. Natural Parthenogenesis

2. Artificial Parthenogenesis

NATURAL PARTHENOGENESIS:

It is a form of asexual reproduction. Natural parthenogenesis is a part of the life cycle in lower animals. It occurs in insects like bees, beetles, butterflies some species of fishes, and some species of reptiles.

ARTIFICIAL PARTHENOGENESIS:

It is a type of Parthenogenesis that is induced artificially. It is done by artificially altering the environment of the ovum. It is done by various methods. But commonly by three methods:

1. Temperature variation

2. Chemical induction

3. Ionizing radiation.

This artificial Parthenogenesis has also been experimentally done by various scientists in laboratories.

The usage of ionizing radiation like UV radiation can induce self-activation of the ovum. This ovum self-activation can be using UV radiation has occurred to Kunthi.

SCIENCE IN ANCIENT HISTORY:

Under extreme environmental conditions, there are possibilities that UV radiation can pass through the Earth. During such conditions when UV rays come in contact with a human it may result in the self-activation of the ovum and this has occurred to Kunthi. That is during that event the Sun's UV radiation has passed through Kunthi and self-activated her ovum which resulted in baby formation. So Birth of Karna has occurred as the result of Parthenogenesis.
So this is the science behind the Birth of Karna.
